Power BI Business Analyst (Abu Dhabi)

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in implementing data ingestion and transformation pipelines for large scale organisations. We are seeking someone with deep technical skills in a variety of technologies to play an important role in developing and delivering early proofs of concept and production implementation. You will ideally have experience in building solutions using a variety of open source tools & Microsoft Azure services, and a proven track record in delivering high quality work to tight deadlines. 

• Business Analyst with data experience with a minimum of 7 years' experience delivering IT projects
• Solid communication and interpersonal skills is a must (client facing position).
• Strong ability to communicate clearly and professionally with end customers. 
• Experience with Azure Data (Azure Synapse, Azure Databricks and Azure Data Factory) and MS BI Stack (Power BI, Azure Analysis Services, SQL Server, Azure)
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in BI tools (tableau, QlikView etc.) with over 1 yr experience in Power BI with in-depth development experience with recent versions of SQL Server.
• Elicitation of business requirements and preparing functional specification consisting of comprising of data requirements, sourcing and transformation rules and reporting and dashboard requirement
• Demonstrate knowledge and real-world experience on Big data technologies. A successful history of ingesting, processing and extracting value from datasets.
• Experience in building data models, maintaining data dictionary or data catalog comprising of business definition and other metadata of the data assets
• Exposure to ETL, data integration and data warehouse concepts
• Working knowledge of SQL and experience working with relational databases and data lake
• Strong analytic skills related to working with semi-structured and unstructured datasets.
• Hands on professional with thorough knowledge of scripting, data source integration and dashboard development in Power BI
• Work with both functional and technical project personnel, providing in-depth knowledge of BI information delivery/presentation methodology.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
