As part of this we are hiring talented engineers who can help identify pain-points in reliability and improve them by changing the product, improving the processes, and coaching the developers. We run scalability & tooling projects, respond to alerts & on-call pages, and work with development to define, measure, and exceed SLOs on the features our customers value the most.. Read on to understand more on the role and expectations.Role description- You will manage a team of SRE engineers focussed on operating the product at high scale and reliability.- You will coach and grow engineers in the team- You will periodically present the operational health of the product to senior leadership- You will architect and build for high performance and scale.- You will work on continuously improving reliability, scale and performance of the product.- You will be contributing to building tools that help measure and improve the operational health of product.- You will work with teams across India, United States and Australia as you contribute to the product.

On your first day, we'll expect you to have:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
    • 10+ years experience in building distributed systems for a SaaS product.
    • 2+ years experience people management experience
    • Proven experience in Site Reliability Engineering.
    • Proven experience of working with engineering and operational stakeholders and setting high goals for operational excellence.
    • Experience operating high-scale, high-availability, fault-tolerant, distributed software in production.
    • Experience with infrastructure management in public cloud offerings (AWS components like EC2, CloudFormation, RDS, S3, DynamoDB, SQS, Kinesis - or equivalents, e.g. in GCP / Azure).
    • Experience working with one or more modern observability platforms (e.g., Splunk, Signalfx, NewRelic or something similar).
    • Past experience in at least one modern object-oriented programming language (e.g., Ruby on Rails, Python, C#, Java, Kotlin etc.).
    • Experience defining key metrics for monitoring operational health and continuously improving them.
    • Comfortable in being on-call and driving a culture of continuous improvement from the ashes of incidents.
