The Chief Information Security Office (CISO) is home to deeply talented colleagues that work to ensure the safety of Citi's clients' and our proprietary data. We manage information security as one end-to end program – one with a clear mandate and accountability. Our mission is a program that is fully anchored to modern control and architectural frameworks, is fully aligned with the enterprise architecture of the firm and is deeply integrated into the sectors and functions.

CISO’s Infrastructure Defense (ID) team is responsible for delivering integrated risk reduction capabilities and services aligned to the architectural goals and priorities associated with leading ‘Change the Bank’ (CTB) and ‘Run the Bank’ (RTB) initiatives. This role entails leading and coordinating the execution of Security Connectivity Services for Infrastructure Defense, across the network, perimeter, and endpoint domains.  The successful candidate will have demonstrated success and be highly adept at: leading global programs and engineering change efforts; managing risk and execution of global programs by aligning resources and tactical/strategic decisions; and driving transformation across a complex enterprise to support cybersecurity goals. Strong experience across cybersecurity, Technology Infrastructure, large enterprises will assist in delivering aspects of this service.  

The successful candidate will have end to end responsibilities for leading and transforming Infrastructure Defense Security Connectivity Services (SCS) moving toward automated data driven systems that scale with the Citi Enterprise and meet regulatory, compliance and enterprise requirements. The Head of ID SCS

will report to the Head of Infrastructure Defense within CISO’s Engineering and Architecture team and must partner with peer groups in CISO, Technology and the business to ensure a service-oriented organization that meets the business needs of a digital bank.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of geographically dispersed Infrastructure Defense professionals.
  • Lead CTB transformational and RTB activities and act as focal point managing the delivery of secure connectivity systems supporting business sector use of ID security services.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of Infrastructure Defense including zero trust, segmentation, perimeter, Secure Service Access Edge (SASE), network and endpoint security.
  • Maintain strong awareness of vulnerabilities, mitigations, and attack frameworks, partnering with the Vulnerability Management team.
  • Partner with Transformation Program Directors, Senior Architects, Steering Committees, CISO, technology and business partners in delivering the transformational programs
  • Lead ID’s delivery of compliance reporting to Regulators, Audit and Operational Risk Management
  • Lead ID’s delivery to improve operational excellence and enhance management of connectivity through automation and advanced real time rule alignment
  • Lead adoption of data analytics driving automated reporting against ID aligned security standards
  • Partner with business sectors to drive adoption of certain perimeter services including enterprise management of Citi’s Web Application Firewall (WAF)
  • Assist in driving adoption of CITI’s SASE architecture
  • Assess security gaps in current cyber services, maintaining market and vendor awareness of both trends and advancing capabilities in alignment to the transformational program goals.
  • Work with CITI’s Cyber Security Lab, identify and support innovation in capabilities necessary to fill critical capability gaps.
  • Interface and support CITI’s Security Architecture Council and Working Groups building strong rapport across teams.
  • Support CITI’s adoption of cloud continuum and holistic digital transformation.

Required Skills and Competencies:

  • 15+ years of relevant cybersecurity and/or IT experience
  • Leadership roles across technology or cybersecurity leading large programs or transformational activities
  • Proven strong knowledge of Cyber Security solutions and products
  • Thorough understanding of industry and corporate technology standards for Cyber Security services
  • Experience developing Cyber Security and IT architectures
  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership and work with cross functional teams to manage multiple projects simultaneously under pressure
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and oral communication as well as strong presentation skills to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant subject or equivalent work experience
