Title: Information Security (Intern) Security Engineering

At Ivanti, our security engineering team is constantly working to further our security controls. As an Information Security Intern at Ivanti, you will be working with technical teams to help design, improve, or implement technical security controls that help protect Ivanti’s systems, employees, and customers.

Our interns are assigned small projects to work on during their internship. Any time outside of the project can be spent shadowing and learning from the other Information Security team members.

Responsibilities

• Work with common scripting languages and Ivanti’s proprietary technologies to create automation scripts to verify and enforce security controls.
• Work with multiple teams to test and verify the detection and enforcement of automation technology.

Qualifications

• Must be working on a degree with a secondary education/higher education institute. Individuals with degrees that are focused on security, engineering, or development are highly desired.
• A base understanding of Windows operating systems and scripting with Windows PowerShell is required.
• A base understanding of Linux operating systems and scripting with Bash preferred.
• A general knowledge of networking and system design preferred.
• Strong research skills and a dedication to learning both within the security field, as well as other disciplines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly motivated and able to work on assigned tasks independently after receiving instruction.
• Attentive to detail and produce high-quality work.
