As the HR Generalist, you will report to the HR Director and serve as our point of contact in Serbia as we create and drive new policies and processes to support our current employees who are relocating to the country and onboard new hires. This includes immigration support, country guides, relocation packages and other needs as we build our team. You will collaborate with the Global HR Team, Talent Acquisition Team, Finance, and Legal teams on hiring practices, employee relations, payroll, regulatory compliance, performance management, and training and development.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Take responsibility for all activities related to HR Administration, including but not limited to processing of hiring, internal transfers, terminations, all types of absence, maintaining personnel records, etc.
  • Localize global HR policies and procedures as needed per legislation and implement local ones required by the local legislation
  • Work closely with country management on implementation of HR solutions aligned to business strategy
  • Coordinate a variety of HR administrative tasks to ensure compliance with government regulations
  • Create and maintain employee records including data processing in Workday
  • Provide full information required for payroll and benefits calculation
  • Resolve employee questions, concerns and grievances
  • Design, develop, implement and oversee the organization's environmental health and safety programs and procedures to safeguard employees and to ensure the compliance with regulations
  • Investigate accidents and promote safety-conscious work performance and training programs
  • Participate in global HR projects as needed

WHAT YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS):

  • 5+ years of proven work experience as an HR Generalist / HR Operational Lead/ HRBP
  • In-depth knowledge of the employment labor law
  • Experience in coordinating payroll and benefits
  • Experience in health and safety programs and procedures 
  • Ability to solve problems independently or under minimal guidance
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize
  • High level of discipline, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment while still maintaining a high level of accuracy  
  • Ability to act as a trusted resource and maintain confidentiality 
  • Ideally, previous experience in a global international environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Fluent in both Serbian and English
