With over 230,000 customers worldwide, our global Enterprise Advocate team leads the expansion of our products (which include Jira, Confluence, and Jira Service Management) into the largest 5% of existing customers in their respective regions.We're looking for a Head of Mid-Market to lead our multi-faceted mid-market Enterprise Advocate (Account Executive) organisation for our EMEA region. You will lead the development of a comprehensive and non-traditional sales and marketing strategy across a diverse product portfolio, aimed at maximising the use of Atlassian's products by some of our largest customers in the EMEA region.Your future teamOur Enterprise Advocacy team was established in the summer of 2014 to help support customers who are interested in scaling their investment in Atlassian. The team has a collective experience in sales and management roles coming from well-established Fortune 500 companies as well as exciting startups. They share a drive to hit numbers, but above all believe in the Atlassian values and want to use them as their compass in constantly refining and optimising our non-traditional sales model, one that redefines how software is sold in the Enterprise!In this role you will report to our Head of Enterprise Sales for EMEA & APAC. You will oversee our mid-market sales managers, each of whom manages a team of 6 - 8 Enterprise Advocates.

What you'll do

    • You will lead and grow our EMEA mid-market sales organisation
    • You will establish and prioritise key performance measures for your team, and ensure all sales and sales management personnel are achieving OKR's and revenue targets.
    • You will compile and review quantitative sales data and react rapidly to changing trends or new competitive threats and opportunities.
    • You will work in close coordination with our Sales Operations team, Marketing and Channel sales organisations (including external Solutions Partners), and other stakeholders in our leadership team.

Your background

    • 3+ years of experience managing sales managers in a business-to-business sales environment
    • You have managed organisations of 20+ sales people
    • Extensive experience developing go-to-market strategies and corporate sales plans
    • Experience working with a channel sales organisation
    • Experience monitoring and evaluating sales representative and manager performance against expectations, in addition to aligning and changing behaviour with performance expectations
    • Experience managing next-level managers across a variety of functions, including sales representatives, sales operations, and business development representatives
    • Extensive experience using a CRM to manage team performance metrics
    • Experience hiring and onboarding sales representatives and sales managers
    • Experience building and leading territories
    • Extensive experience working with various EMEA markets
    • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding performance targets
    • Ideally, experience working within both startup and mature corporate environments
    • Experience with both on-premise and cloud software solutions preferred
