The organisation builds and sells several SaaS products that target IT Operations and Service teams. The flagship product, Jira Service Management, has been enjoying substantial success, and we are doubling down on our strategy to fuel the next growth stage.A Bit About 'IT Service'The IT Service market represents a massive opportunity for Atlassian. As companies grapple with remote work and distributed teams, traditional hierarchical structures are giving way to service-oriented teams responsible for delivering great, consumer-like employee service experiences. We aim to capitalise on the trend. In your role as Head of Engineering of the IT Service group, you will make the vision of "Jira Service Management being the preferred tool of choice for every service team" a reality.What you'll doYou will be the leader of a group of teams comprising over 250 engineers across multiple countries, with the size expected to grow significantly over the next two years. You will drive product development in close collaboration with the R&D triad partners and will lead technical strategy.

• Help translate strategy into funded execution plans
• Structure the engineering organisation to deliver on goals
• Grow great leaders
• Navigate high-level dependencies with other Atlassian teams
• Lead a distributed group of experienced engineering teams
• Communicate a long-term technical vision, and inspire the organisation around a shared vision for success

Your Background

• Experience leading engineering for user facing SaaS products
• Experience leading technical teams at scale (200+, considering the size of this team)
• Leadership style which attracts talent, and creates loyalty and following—one who can energize people and teams and make cross-functional and cross-business cooperation and collaboration happen
• Desire to develop the people in your organization to achieve their maximum performance levels
• Program management, business and technology expertise that inspires confidence in Atlassian's teams
