As the engineering leader for this organisation, you will report to the Head of Engineering for Open DevOps and partner with peers in Product & Design to plan and build projects aimed at scaling Atlassian's use of connected data from both internal and 3rd party sources, with a mission to deliver insights and provide a seamless, consistent data experience across customers' entire toolchain.You have led development teams of managers, engineers, and architects in the cloud software space. You'll benefit from technical skills in the cloud-native space, with experience operating at scale across a diverse set of technologies.
What you'll do
- Coach engineering managers and help them build and run effective teams
- Partner with leaders from other internal and external teams to collaborate on shared goals
- Define success criteria and ensure engineering efforts are aligned with desired business outcomes
- Contribute to strategy decisions as the engineering representative for your organisation
- Meet with customers to better understand their needs and ensure Atlassian's tools provide value to them
Your background
- 5+ years of engineering management experience, with history shipping both consumer products and cloud services
- 3+ years of experience managing managers
- Bachelor or higher degree, or its equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems Management or a related field of study
