As the new Global Leader of Talent Acquisition for Engineering you'll help grow our global engineering function. You'll take on a newly created role working with teams across APAC, EMEA, and USA to accelerate Atlassian's position in the market as a leading employer for engineering talent.In our Team Anywhere world
you could be based anywhere across west coast North America, New Zealand or Australia and will directly manage leaders across APAC and ANZ. You'll take on leadership of teams with a track record for delivering on hiring goals and evolve our recruiting model and experience for engineering recruiting.Working with peer leaders across the experienced hire recruiting function and reporting to the Global Head of Experienced Hire you'll bring a focus to qualitative moments that matter. You'll focus on building stronger partnerships with leaders across the Engineering department, you'll help us meet our DEI goals and embed the behaviours and strategies to support this. You'll build flexible recruiting models blending full-time recruiting and sourcing teams with augmented support. You'll use targeted campaigns that unlock new talent pools through our commitment to distributed working through Team Anywhere.With a first team mindset you'll make space for your own leaders and teams to promote improved outcomes while contributing and driving global success for the experienced hire function.
What you'll do:
- Work with regional recruiting leaders to unlock hiring capacity and delivery execution to accelerate Atlassian's growth journey to 25,000 diverse and distributed team members. You'll build the right shape and size of recruiting delivery teams to meet future demand ahead of time
- Work with our TABPs and partners across the business and people teams to implement recruiting strategies which accelerate our growth journey
- Focus on balancing maintaining existing high-quality output from your teams with new recruiting models that accelerate our growth. Specifically you'll guide global adoption of pipeline hiring practices and experience led recruiting for hard to hire talent which enhance our hiring from underrepresented backgrounds
- You'll own our hiring goals for engineering recruiting for volume and qualitative measures. Specifically you'll manage DEI programs in partnership with the engineering team
- You'll partner with teams across Talent Brand, Team Anywhere, and Strategic Programs to move fast to unlock new talent markets within our Team Anywhere constructs
- Build relationships and help leaders and team members to do the same across the Engineering department to develop trust in your plans
- Use data as an enabler and guide for team performance and the foundation for business relationships
Your background:
- You'll have managed teams delivering a blend of high-volume technical roles and niche skills, building the appropriate recruiting model to flexibly meet demand and grow with a business
- You'll have developed managers/leaders helping them take ownership of recruiting goals for their teams and build empowered advisors who partner with the business
- You'll have developed a track record working in-house in engineering recruiting as a leader
- You'll have built trusted relationships with business leaders and partner teams such as finance, total rewards, and talent to promote the right outcomes for organisation growth and delivering hiring goals
- You'll have used data to build relationships with business leaders and understand risks and opportunities in engineering talent pipelines
- You'll have experience growing and unlocking new hiring capacity from ramping teams, building blended models inclusive of FTEs, contractors, and RPOs to meet hiring goals
- You'll have managed teams (leaders and recruiters) in our core hiring markets and have developed teams in new markets
