Financial Analyst

Within the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team in Zurich this role will be expected to fully understand and contribute to the regular reporting framework and planning cycles of the International business.  In particular the role will be analyzing our capital structure and cash flows, making recommendations for improvements and working with other functions to implement change. Furthermore, the role will be expected to support our strategic decision makers from a Finance perspective, as cases for expansion within International are considered. Daily tasks consist in analyzing and identifying key financial information and trends to advise, drive and influence key business decisions.JOB REQUIREMENTS:Key Responsibilities·        Preparing strategic analysis of existing business to develop understanding of potential risks, inconsistencies or opportunities for improvement·        Providing financial support to the business leaders through the provision of quality management reports and commercial advice·        Ensuring that the Business leaders are taking healthy financial decisions and that the company’s overall financial targets are achieved·        Developing collaborative relationships with finance teams and senior management across the business·        Working with other finance teams and managers to drive consensus across the business on new projects·        Providing analysis on financial viability of expansion business cases and projects, both new and existing·        Building cadence around our investments as they impact the business, keeping key stakeholders updated on progress against targets·        Contributing meaningfully to delivery of annual plans and quarterly budgets·        Owning parts of regular reporting cycle within FP&A areas of responsibility·        Assisting Finance Operations teams to forecast and manage the business with tooling and providing top-down frameworks on business drivers·        Assisting Finance Operations teams with the quarterly/annual budgeting and forecasting process for EMEA, including business/financial modelling, variance analysis, monthly financial analysis and performance reviews ·        Providing regular updates and reporting to build understanding around cash flows and capital efficiency MAIN CONTACTS (external/internal):·        Financial Planning & Analysis team·        Financial Operations Teams in the US, the UK and APAC regions·        Accounting in Zurich, the US and the UK·        Leadership in Zurich and across the business·        International Strategy team in ZurichPERSON SPECIFICATION:  ·        Bachelors in Business Administration/ Finance/ Economics (required)·        MBA or similar (desired)·        Relevant experience required, with strong analytical skills vital·        Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; SQL or similar skills also useful·        Experience with Oracle and Hyperion an advantage·        Self-starter that takes ownership of issues and drives toward a conclusion·        Able to succeed in a fast, high-growth and fairly unstructured work environment·        Business & industry knowledge with awareness of financial and business risks·        Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal/networking skills·        Strong collaboration skills, with ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization·        Flexibility to travel when neededAbout Rackspace TechnologyWe are the multicloud solutions experts.
