You will be leading a passionate and growing team focused on delivering incredible, creative improvements for our engineering teams. The team work on creating shared components and tooling that improve the lives of, and experiences for, Atlassian's engineers and their development workflow.
What you'll do
- Manage an organised, effective team, empowering them to achieve their goals, and putting those goals into a broader context
- Partner with the leadership team, product management and internal customers to improve the experience and productivity of Atlassian engineers
- Foster individuals professional development, unlock their potential, and challenge them to step outside their comfort zone to excel and grow
- Guide the team to have a lasting customer focus and impact.
Your background
- 3+ years of experience in an Engineering Management role leading a team of engineers who deliver great customer experiences
- Background in Software Development or DevOps with preferred experience with Java, Golang or NodeJS and TypeScript.
- Significant experience in building large-scale web software.
- Success with growing and managing the performance of an engineering team.
- Strong customer attitude, while balancing contending priorities to meet business outcomes.
- Familiarity with agile software development methodologies.
- Passionate about improving the lives of Developers/Engineers.
