Director of Private Equity Sales - Remote

Maximizes revenues through the direction of professional sales activities. Director Is responsible for guiding the productivity of Sales Executives in Private Equity technology sales. Director may provide direction to sales executives by developing account plans and close plan strategies to promote the success of the Private Equity sales organization. Director will maintain effective communications with executives and managers across the company to ensure proper sensitivity to the needs of PE clients and teams and needs to be able to garner consensus and agreement around outside the box thinking. Responsible for account assignments, hiring and proactive performance management including effective budget usage and adherence to sales policies.

    • Leads a team of sales executives focused on selling into the private equity segment across the United States.

Key Responsibilities

    • Oversees a large geographic area (United States) or product/service line to maximize sales revenues and meet corporate objectives. Accurately forecasts annual, quarterly, and monthly revenue streams. Develops specific plans to ensure revenue growth. Provides quarterly assessments of professional services, field sales, and sales support staff’s productivity. Coordinates appropriate company resources to ensure efficient and consistent sales performance. Directs and develops sales executives in the field sales area. Hires, coaches, reviews, rewards, motivates, disciplines, and terminates sales executives. Evaluates effectiveness of sales executives, making necessary changes as needed. Responsible for a broad geographic area encompassing multiple time zones.

    • Invaluable knowledge of company's products/services, pricing practices, and selling skills. Effective management skills with ability to manage a critical portion of the company's sales organization. Excellent time management, communication, decision-making, human relations, presentation, and organization skills. Ability to communicate technical info and ideas so others will understand. Ability to make appropriate decisions considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions. Ability to apply varying leadership skills and traits that create solutions and results to unexpected situations. Ability to coach and motivate less experienced team members to achieve their goals. Ability to establish a long-term vision and execute it. A demonstrated ability to think globally and address issues locally while motivating a team to act with speed, commitment, and consistency. Ability to successfully work and promote inclusiveness in small groups. Ability to provide FANATICAL support.

Skills

Education

    • Bachelor's degree in business, sales, or marketing or equivalent training in business or sales management required.

Experience

    • Requires 12 or more years of product or services sales experience with five or more years in sales management.
    • 3-5 years of experience selling into Private Equity firms and portfolio companies is strongly preferred.

This information applies only to individuals working in these states. •       The anticipated starting pay range for Colorado is: 187,200 – 329,230•       The anticipated starting pay range for the states of Hawaii and New York (not including NYC) is: 198,500 – 349,030•       The anticipated starting pay range for California, New York City and Washington is: 218,300 – 383,900•       Unless already included in the posted pay range and based on eligibility, the role may include variable compensation in the form of bonus, commissions, or other discretionary payments. These discretionary payments are based on company and/or individual performance and may change at any time.
