Senior Pega Developer - Assistant Vice President
Job Description
Citi is looking for a Senior Programmer Analyst to join the Consumer Operations Technology team, contributing to the design, development, and delivery of application systems that directly support Collections & Recovery operations. In this role, you will apply deep technical expertise to build and improve software solutions that meet complex business needs, working with a high degree of autonomy within a collaborative global technology environment. Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement application systems and programs to address specific business requirements across Consumer Operations Technology.
- Build and maintain software solutions through all phases of the development lifecycle, including analysis, design, construction, testing, and deployment.
- Analyze complex application problems and evaluate business and system processes to recommend and deliver effective technical solutions.
- Develop and embed security measures as part of post-implementation reviews to ensure system integrity and long-term functionality.
- Collaborate with business users, clients, and cross-functional technology teams to define requirements and deliver advanced programming solutions.
- Contribute to feasibility assessments, IT planning, and time and cost estimation to support sound project decision-making.
- Define and uphold development standards and operating procedures and provide technical guidance to less experienced team members.
- Identify and escalate control and risk issues with transparency, ensuring technology decisions align with applicable standards and business ethics.
- Partners with multiple technology areas and management teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions to meet goals.
- Works closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts and Systems Analysts to determine and document Systems impacts and support requirements

Required Qualifications & Skills
- 10 years of experience in software application development, systems analysis, and programming.
- Expertise in application development and production support of large applications using Pega Infinity 24.x and above .
- Experience In working with transformation projects from legacy to Pega platforms is desirable.
- Domain expertise Loss Mitigation applications is an advantage .
- Hands-on experience with Python, applied to building and maintaining production-grade applications is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and deliver software projects from inception through to implementation.
- Familiarity with project management and consulting methodologies, with the ability to apply structured approaches to technical delivery.
- Ability to work independently under pressure, managing shifting priorities and deadlines without close supervision.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a relevant technical discipline.
Beneficial Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working within financial services or consumer technology environments, particularly in collections, recovery, or operations domains.
- Exposure to risk and compliance considerations within software development, including the ability to assess and mitigate technical risks.
- Experience acting as a subject matter expert or informal technical mentor to peers or junior analysts.
