Technical Program Manager

As the Technical Program Manager II, you will be expected to lead a program or multiple projects from start to finish, inspiring confidence in the team, senior management, and the business community implementing the project solution. Leads efforts to improve existing processes or programs and design new systems or processes as required. Advocates for Operational Excellence across the organization. You will be responsible for managing Technical Programs and Projects, working closely with Senior Leaders, external partners, engineers, and technical staff to design and launch projects. Requires working with Technical Support and/or Product Management to define strategy and requirements. Communicates with senior management on status, risks, and change control. Career Level Summary:·       General instruction on routine tasks, detailed instruction on new assignments. May provide work direction to individual contributors.  Key Responsibilities:•        Planning and execution of a dedicated program or moderately complex or multiple projects, in-line with formal Program/Project methodologies•        Reviewing and fully understanding all program/project requirements (business and technical)•        Collaborating with internal stakeholders as well as coordinating across functions, internally and externally, to ensure delivery within scope, budget, and schedule•        Manages communication of progress/status across Stakeholders within the core team and external to the team (customers, partners, etc)•        Works closely with Systems & Software Engineers and Product Managers to get high-quality products or product enhancements built, tested, and released on time, track release milestones and schedules•        Finds resources, manages resource allocation for projects•        Escalate issues, as necessary  Knowledge:•        Strong knowledge of coordinating and monitoring projects/programs from initiation through delivery, as a Technical Lead•        Strong knowledge of all areas of business operations and organizational interactions•        Excellent time management, communications, decision making, presentation, human relations, and organizational skills•        Trained in project methodologies or comparable industry experience•        Proven ability to work on assignments that require data evaluation, recommendation development, and decision making•        Experienced in development of project/program planning elements, to include scheduling, resourcing, communication, and implementation of plans•        Ability to develop, maintain, and report on schedules in Jira.•        Expert understanding of risk analysis, project reporting, and tracking•        Experience with industry-recognized project management methodology and tools•        Ability to manage matrixed project/program teams in diverse environments•        Proficient with Visio and MS Office tools, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint•        Excellent attention to detail and problem solving skills•        Ability to work independently. Creative thinking and the ability to think outside the box’ are ESSENTIAL•        Ability to communicate technical info and ideas so others will understand•        Ability to apply varying leadership skills and traits that create solutions and results to unexpected situations•        Ability to successfully work and promote inclusiveness in small groups  Education·       High school diploma or equivalent required·       Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science degree or equivalent experience requiredExperience·       2-4 years of experience as a Program Manager·       A minimum of 5 years of total experience in related role required Certifications·       Six Sigma – Black Belt preferred  ·       ITIL Certification preferred·       Project Management (PMP) Certification preferred  Physical Demands·       General office environment·       Moderate levels of stress may occur at times·       May require long periods sitting and viewing a computer monitor·       No special physical demands required·       Schedule flexibility to include working a weekend day regularly and holidays as required by the business for 24/7 operations  Travel·       Occasional travel, less than 10%DisclaimerThe above information has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by employees in this classification.
