Systems Engineer

Job Description:

XOR Security is currently seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to support an Agency-level SOC ESS Team at NOAA. The SOC program provides comprehensive Computer Network Defense and Response support through 24×7×365 monitoring and analysis of potential threat activity targeting the enterprise.   

To ensure the integrity, security, and resiliency of critical operations, we are seeking candidates with diverse backgrounds in cyber security systems operations, analysis and incident response. Strong written and verbal communications skills are a must along with the ability to work shift.

Preferred Skills:

Required Qualifications:

• AT LEAST AN INTERIM SECRET CLEARANCE
• 8+ years of relevant experience
• In-depth knowledge of:
  • RSA Archer
  • Tenable Security Center
  • FireEye Security Devices (HX, NX, IX, etc.)
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• MUST have experience leading a team (function management experience not required)

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience using PowerShell and PowerCli
• WSUS and SCCM
• Production experience with Share and NTFS permissions
• Experience working with cloud service providers (AWS, Azure)
• HO and Cisco UCS server hardware and blades including their associated interconnects (SAS, FC, TCP/IP)
• Windows server administration (Domain, DFS, DHCP, DNS, Print Services, etc.)
• Experience with storage systems (e.g. NetApp, 3PAR, and EMC)
• Understanding NAS and SAN protocols such as CIFS, NFS, iSCSI and FCP
• Production experience with the setup and configuration of HP c7000 chassis
• Production experience with Share and NTFS permissions
• Complex GPO deployments (share mappings, overrides, WMI filtering, and printer deployments)
• Ability to work with application developers on integration and requirements
• Network host teaming
• Experiencing applying STIGs and enforcing NIST 800-53 compliance
• Microsoft and/or NetApp certified
• Backup administration 
• 8570 compliant (Security+ certification)
