Senior Director, APAC Head of Product & Technology

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced leader for our Rackspace Private Cloud Product & Technology organization in the APAC region. The ideal candidate will possess both technical expertise and business acumen in cloud computing, AI, OpenStack, VMware, Kubernetes, and technology infrastructure. The ideal candidate will also have significant experience with customer engagement, team leadership, and product management. As the Head of Product & Technology in the APAC region, you will be the primary point of contact representing the Rackspace Private Cloud Product portfolio with the internal business and externally with customers and partners. You will also be responsible for leading, growing, and managing the India Product & Technology organization. This position is suited to someone with a strong technical foundation in technology infrastructure, cloud computing, customer engagement, product portfolio management, and senior leadership skills leading large organizations.

Responsibilities

• Customer Engagement: Collaborate with sales, marketing, and customer success teams to understand customer needs and provide technical and product expertise during customer engagements.
• APAC point-of-contact: As a senior product leader in the region, you’ll be a go-to for answering product capability questions, roadmap enhancements, and contract product clarifications / answers.
• Team Leadership: Lead a team of ~300 technical professionals, including architects, engineers, and product managers. Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment, promote knowledge sharing, and provide guidance and mentorship to the organization. 
• Program Management: Define and execute program management actions to deliver roadmap enhancements and new product introductions on-time and within budget. Responsible for leading the organization in agile, disciplined product development and delivery.
• Vendor and Partnership Management: Evaluate and manage relationships with technology vendors, service providers, and strategic partners (including but not limited to Palo Alto, Pure, Dell, F5, Redhat etc.). 
• Industry Thought Leadership: Represent Rackspace as a product and technical expert at regional industry conferences, webinars, and technology events. Stay informed about market trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes relevant to Rackspace Private Cloud.

Qualifications

• Foundational experience in private cloud computing (VMware, Openstack, Kubernetes, and programmatic infrastructure), with a focus on product delivery and customer engagement. 
• Proven track record of successfully leading large software development and platform engineering organizations. 
• Strong knowledge of cloud architecture, infrastructure, and services, including but not limited to IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
• Deep understanding of product management lifecycle and methodologies. 
• Experience in leading and managing technical teams, fostering collaboration, and developing talent.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong business acumen and the ability to align technical strategies with business objectives.
• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, a related field or equivalent experience. 
• Minimum 10 years technology industry experience, 5+ year’s leading large organizations.
