Senior Business Analyst

You will build and maintain a solid working relationship with colleagues and customer stakeholders, from pre-sales efforts to project delivery. The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for understanding the customer’s requirements, priorities, and business value drivers and providing clear, detail-oriented documentation to ensure the successful delivery of customer engagements.  You will understand the role of embedded services organisations (ideally in a technology or managed services context).  You will liaise and coordinate with other professional services teams globally, as well as central functions and individual business units across Rackspace to improve operational excellence. Travel to a customer-site in Saudi Arabia will be required. Arabic language skills will be highly advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on business analysis, including requirements gathering and planning via various methods, including workshop facilitation
• Create and manage requirements traceability matrices (functional and technical, as needed)
• Support the creation of design specifications and ensure coverage of requirements
• Advise Engineers and Architects on design choices and their associated impacts
• Ensure processes, data relationships, and designs fit the needs of end users
• Help validate UX design to ensure alignment with customer requirements
• Alignment of requirements with engagement scope and deliverables, supporting the customer in defining Acceptance Criteria (AC)
• Write and update user stories to capture requirements.
• Leverage Engagement Delivery Framework (EDF) story writing criteria in order to facilitate delivery
• Prepare professional customer-facing presentations and documents to support engagements, including requirements documentation, as-is and to-be documentation of customer systems/products/processes, and training documentation
• Leverage Agile principles and best practices to support the Engagement Manager in ensuring that EDF processes are adhered to in delivery 
• Leverage Agile principles and best practices to aid engagement team in building a comprehensive and executable, EDF compliant backlog
• Manage customer expectations and communicate trade-offs and risks

Person Specification

• Solid communication and interpersonal skills is a must (customer facing position).  
• Elicitation of business requirements and preparing functional specification consisting of comprising of data requirements, sourcing and transformation rules and reporting and dashboard requirement  
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail 
• Ability to work in a team/collaborative environment but to also work independently with the customer 
• Ability to build a strong rapport with customer and internal support teams in a Managed services environment. 
• Technical achiever with a strong work ethic, creative, collaborative, team player. 
• Brief senior leadership and end users at varying levels of familiarity with cloud technologies, about the technology selections, best practices, and benefits. 
• “Can-do” attitude to working with multiple areas / technologies 
• Work independently in an agile Kanban environment to complete tasks, report status, identify blockers, and pro-actively resolve issues. 
• Communicate clearly in written and verbal form with varying audiences of developers, BAs and other stakeholders. 
• Ability to present architecture to clients of varying levels, from Developers, Business Analysts and Senior Client Leadership. 
• Problem Solving: Ability to analyze and resolve complex infrastructure resource and application deployment issues. Including TS distributed systems. 
• Self-starter, with an ability to pick up new Cloud technology and scripting technologies.
