Point A product team (new product development team) is looking for innovative backend developers to help us build for the future. You'll be responsible for the design, build, and maintenance of product and platform services, and infrastructure that powers Atlassian Cloud. This is a role with broad technical responsibilities with a greenfield project. You will be responsible to take the Point A Program from a ‘scrappy startup' to a ‘scalable business’. You’ll partner with the Point A leadership squad (Product, Engineering, Design, Program Management, Analytics and Strategy and BizOps) to make key decisions that enable Atlassian to build new products.Point A is the program that enables new businesses at Atlassian and helps discover the future of work.Point A includes:* The program that operationalises building new products at Atlassian and manages this portfolio.* The methodology and knowledge that enables building new businesses, so we can be better at it in the long run (includes the New Product Framework, Pirate Manual, and internal and external innovation brand).On your first day, we'll expect you to have:- Experience in domain driven development- Understanding of SaaS, PaaS, IaaS industry with hands-on experience with public or private cloud offerings (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure)- Previously worked across multiple codebases when delivering features- Knowledge to evaluate trade-offs between correctness, robustness, performance, and customer value- Experience in taking ownership of features with medium to large running projects- Expert understanding of microservices-based architecture- A champion of practices like continuous delivery and infrastructure as code- Taking care of E2E software development lifecycle, owning what you build, doing your own deployment, monitoring etc.It’s awesome, but not required if you have:- Experience with GraphQL and GoLang- Experience with working in a new product or startup environment- Practical knowledge of agile software development methodologies (e.g., XP, scrum)#LI-SC2NAOur perks & benefitsTo support you at work and play, our perks and benefits include ample time off, an annual education budget, paid volunteer days, and so much more.About AtlassianThe world’s best teams work better together with Atlassian. From medicine and space travel, to disaster response and pizza deliveries, Atlassian software products help teams all over the planet.
