Work you’ll do
As a Database Activity Monitoring Specialist, you will play a critical role in safeguarding our organization's sensitive data and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. You will be responsible for monitoring and analyzing database activity to detect and respond to potential security threats, as well as providing insights to enhance database security measures.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct real-time monitoring of database activities to identify suspicious or unauthorized access, queries, and transactions.
- Analyze logs and alerts generated by database monitoring tools to assess potential security incidents.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents involving databases, coordinating with the Incident Response team as necessary.
- Collaborate with Database Administrators and Security teams to implement and enhance database security measures.
- Develop and maintain database security policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Perform regular vulnerability assessments and penetration tests on databases to identify and address security weaknesses.
- Participate in the design and implementation of access control mechanisms for databases.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging threats related to database security.
- Generate reports and provide recommendations for improving database security posture.
- Contribute to incident response plans and procedures related to database security incidents.
