We are looking for an experienced product leader with a solid background in Product Management. The Principal Product Manager on the Enterprise Trust Foundation team is a strategic role that owns complex areas of Data Residency and our customers' risk & compliance needs.You will independently create strategies and influence/ align multiple teams both internally and externally. You will partner with leadership on long-term planning and team development.You will guide a team to work with every function in the company, from engineering and design to sales, partnerships, ecosystem, legal, risk & compliance and support to identify opportunities, develop processes and features, take them to market, and improve them over time.

What you'll do

• Develop the vision, strategy and roadmap for Data Residency and associated customer risk & compliance requirements
• Own the scope, rollout and roadmap for our in-development Data Residency capabilities across Atlassian's customers, multiple products, thousands of micro-services
• Work across the Strategy, Security, Risk & Compliance, Apps & Marketplace, Cloud Infrastructure and product (e.g. Jira, Confluence) teams
• Build a leadership squad with other crafts and work with dedicated engineering teams, program management and designers
• Collaborate with our Ecosystem team to ensure our Marketplace partners have what they need to create their own world-class Data Residency products
• Become Atlassian's expert on the Data Residency landscape and associated regulations across peers, competitors and global markets.

Your background

• 10+ years of Product Management experience building enterprise software products and/ or tech services and/ or platforms
• Have led or guided PMs and engineers in building complex products or platform
• Have worked in large-scale collaborative companies across timezones
• Experience working directly with customers in collaboration with sales/systems engineering teams for large deployments or deals.
• Strong technical background, comfortable understanding/ sparring/ challenging technical approaches with experienced architects, senior engineering leadership and customers
• Worked on B2B SaaS - ideally in a role connected with security, compliance or encryption
• Experience building product for large and complex enterprises, balancing competing needs across customers and markets
• A proven track record for defining, building and delivering high impact products that create business and customer value in fast-growth or large-scale companies
• Strong stakeholder management skills that help you to communicate and manage relationships across the organization - from customers, developers, to senior executives.
• Capability to identify potential opportunities and translate them into product goals. You gather, prioritize and translate customer and business requirements into successful product strategies
