Network Engineer - II (R-16857)

Network Engineer -IPT RoleResponsibilities:·       Install all new hardware, systems, and software for networks.·       Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade network services, equipment, software, and devices.·       Manages all back‐up and restore of equipment configuration.·       Plans and supports network and computing infrastructure.·       Documents network problems and resolution for future reference.·       Monitors network performance and implements performance tuning.·       Oversee software and network security.·       Maintains inventory of equipment and parts as well as documentation of vendor activities·       Develops and documents system standards for network and security devices·       Recommend and schedule repairs to the Firewalls, LAN/WAN, Load Balancer, Riverbed.·       Coordinate with external parties and customers for problem resolution, including hardware fix and replacements·       Monitor fault and performance on Cisco IP Telephony systems (CME/CUCM)·       Handle 2nd / 3rd level escalation from Service Desk team·       Troubleshoot network/security related problems to restore services to meet stated SLA/SLO·       Assist in Problem Management, Availability Management, Capacity Management, IT Service Continuity Management, and Information Security Management·       Being part of the 24x7 on‐call support rotation ·       Administer Cisco IPT- CME/CUCM, Routers/switches, firewalls (Palo Alto, ASA and Checkpoint), ISE, Zscaler and F5 load balancers.·       Security Infrastructure review and design.Requirements:·       Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or similar.·       Good written and verbal English skills·       Preferred Certifications: CCNA/CCNP- Voice, CCNA/CCNP Collaboration, CCNP (R&S), CCIE, PCNSE and ITIL.·       At least 5+ year(s) of experience in the following:·       Advanced knowledge of Cisco IP Telephony systems and it’s troubleshooting and implementation skill i.e., CME, CUCM, Cisco Unity, Voice Gateway.·       Good knowledge of WAN Protocols: BGP/OSPF/EIGRP/QoS/VPLS/MPLS, TCP/IP, and SDWAN.·       Good understanding of Layer2 & Layer 3 switching, hands on experience on Nexus, 6800, 6500, 4500, 3600, 3800 and Cat 9k series of switches. Should have knowledge of STP, Stacking, and VSS concepts.·       Having additional advantage if candidate having troubleshooting and implementation experience on Firewall Firewalls – Palo Alto, Checkpoint, Cisco ASA, Zscaler Proxy (ZIA and ZPA) & Load Balancer–F5.·       Good working experience on Redundancy Protocols HSRP, VRRP GLBP, IPSLA and IP tracking·       Good understanding of Riverbed WAN Optimization.·       Network monitoring (Cacti, MRTG, Solarwinds).·       Handles highly confidential information/material·       Ability to communicate orally and written in a professional manner·       Prior experience supporting, implementing and/or administering networks such as Microsoft Windows Active Directory ·       Strong analytical skills·       Requires a thorough knowledge of networking essentials.·       Experienced in a data centre and or vendor environment with frontend interaction with customers·       Strong interpersonal and communication skills·       Capable of explaining simple procedures in writing or verbally and writing basic documentation·       Flexible, open mind, self-motivated and reliable person·       Being able to work independently and facing stress·       Willing to propose ways to improve efficiencyAbout Rackspace TechnologyWe are the multicloud solutions experts.
