Lead Snowflake Delivery Architect - Remote role in Canada

We are expanding our team of motivated technologists with a proven track record of delivering results in technology consulting. Specifically looking for a Lead Snowflake Delivery/Solutions Architect who's passionate about helping customers build modern Data Solutions at scale. Being an experienced technologist with technical depth and breadth, aided with strong interpersonal skills, you will work directly with customers as part of a professional services delivery team helping to enable innovation through continuous delivery across technology stacks and creating robust solution designs that align to business goals. You will lead a team of our Data Architects (DAs) and Data Engineers (DEs) and help to mentor and develop them. Your insight and experience will help our delivery teams build modern Data architectures.  The qualified Lead Snowflake Delivery/Solutions Architect will have demonstrated the ability to think strategically about businesses, create technical definitions around customer objectives in complex situations, develop solution strategies, motivate & mobilize resources, and deliver results. The ability to connect technology with measurable business value is a critical component to be successful in this role. Strong communication skills and emotional intelligence are also needed to help develop a team reporting to you.   

What you’ll be doing:

• As the Lead Snowflake Delivery/Solutions Architect, you will be technically focused but also will understand business planning implementation  
• Be the lead technical liaison between customers and engineering resources  
• Provide tactical scope and work directly with the business representatives/customers to understand the requirements driving the need for a modern Data solution to be developed  
• Lead teams of both business and technical colleagues throughout the course of the project, and communicate with each of them effectively  
• Ensure that all the appropriate questions are asked and verify that nothing crucial to the success of the project is overlooked  
• Be a modern Data (Snowflake) evangelist by educating a variety of customers on the value of Snowflake and modern Data solutions.  
• Help customers transition to the cloud in a high-value migration approach that leverages best of breed designs and practices delivered in an agile model.  
• Work with customers to enable a DevOps culture and modernize Data landscape and overall Data and AI/ML strategies  
• Establish credibility and build impactful relationships with our customers to enable them to be Data and AI/ML advocates  
• Lead and participate in deep architectural discussions to build confidence and ensure customer success when building new, or migrating existing on to a modern data platform/Solution. 
• Conduct deep dive “hands-on” education/training sessions to transfer knowledge to customers interested in Snowflake and to ensure our CAs are up to date  
• Attend and present valuable information at Industry Events  
• Traveling up to 50% of the time   
• Hold regular 1:1 meetings with members of your team to share feedback, provide an avenue for trusted communications, and to help with their career development.  
• Provide coaching for team members and help establish and track goals  

Requirements

• 10+ years of success in consultative/sophisticated deployment project, architecture, design, implementation and/or support of data and analytics solutions 
• 5+ years of experience in infrastructure, or database architectures  
• Experience of 1-2 years on Snowflake Cloud Datawarehouse. 
• Worked on Cloud Database, SnowFlake Cloud Datawarehouse and Integrated Automated Generic Python Framework to Process XML, CSV, JSON,TSV,TXT files….. 
• Hands on development Design and Develop applications using Snowflake 
• Experience in DW/ETL/BI projects with proficiency in data modelling and data management concepts 
• Good knowledge of RDBMS with ability to write complex SQL, PL/SQL 
• Proficient in at least one and experience with modern programming languages (Java, C#, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript) and open-source technologies 
• Experience leading a team or as a pivotal member of a Data modernization project team  
• In depth understanding and professional experience with cloud services and infrastructure  
• "Hands on" experience with practices and services related to Automation, IaC and DevOps  
• Demonstrated knowledge of software development tools and methodologies  
• Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with executives, IT management, and developers  
• Excellent communication skills with an ability to right level conversations  
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly  
• Technical degree; Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science or related field

Must Have's

• 5+ years’ of experience in customer-facing software/technology or consulting  
• Minimum 4+ years’ of experience with big data and modern Data solutions. 
• Minimum 4+ years’ of experience architecting/operating solutions built on public Cloud platforms  
• AWS/Azure/GCP certifications  
• Snowpro Core Certification is must. 
• Snowpro Advanced certifications is preferred. 
• Experience leading technical teams
