IAM Security Engineer (Okta)

This is a full-time opportunity 100% Remote. US Citizenship required

This role is responsible for the design, development, implementation, integration, automation and improvement of access management solutions including, but not limited to, Single Sign On & Federation, Directory Services, Multifactor Authentication, and Web Access Management. You will be working with a growing team of developers, data scientists and QA engineers on maintaining our existing services and infrastructure, while building the next generation of our engineering stack.

Key Responsibilities

• Identity and Access Management (IAM) engineer working across the IAM areas
• Hands-on development/coding in Okta
• Utilize IAM (Identity and Access Management) programs to enable clients to protect against digital identity risks.
• Consulting with customers on how best to integrate with the Identity and Access Management solutions and then working with those customers on implementation of solution
• Verify identity utilizing a wide range of IAM solutions including HSPD-12, PIV, and advanced authentication methods.
• Working along with Architects to design and implement the future state of the IAM solution
• Operational responsibilities with managing and supporting the IAM services including:
• Customer interactions
• Software upgrades
• Enabling monitoring and alerting
• Coordination and communication for change management
• Vulnerability management
• Looks for opportunities to automate manual tasks for continuous improvement.
• BONUS: Experience with Okta APIs

Requirements:

• Experience in Development / scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, etc. and interacting with products using vendor provided APIs.
• Strong security focus. Mindset and decisions from an Identity and Access Management perspective based in Security best practices
• Experience with complex, distributed Identity and Access Management environments
• Experience working in Windows and Linux environments
• Familiar with IAM standards such as SAML, OIDC, SCIM, etc.
• Ability to track and research changes within the information security field and provide actionable intelligence
• Communicate information security actions to technical and non-technical staff from technician to executive leadership
• Ability to communicate, develop and leverage strategic business relationships across the organization and externally.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in relevant IT field
• Requires advanced technical and business knowledge
• Passionate about continuously improving organizational security practices
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written. Ability to explain technical details in an easy-to-understand manner.

• Team player. Ability to collaborate across team members and other organizations
