Head of PMO

You will define the project management process, standards, deliverables and operational cadence necessary to ensure consistent project execution. You will also oversee programmes and manage leadership through programmes, while thinking strategically and participating in long-term planning efforts.  Travel to a customer-site in Saudi Arabia will be required.  Arabic language skills will be highly advantageous. 

Responsibilities

• Develops strategy and plans to successfully implement operational policies and achieve portfolio performance in support of strategic objectives 
• Managing business operations and resources of a given project portfolio which can be defined by industry, service line, technology centre, specialty area or region. 
• Operate as a matrix leader by coordinating and influencing resources across departments, divisions, and geographies.  
• Manage project scope and deliverables through a structured change management process 
• Develop strategic outputs in response to complex issues, based on company goals and objectives.
• Juggle different projects/priorities and deliver high quality outcomes under pressure.   
• Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to ensure the most effective identification of needs and application of organization effectiveness best practices, models, and tools.  
• Anticipate issues and manages risks in collaboration.  
• Resolve critical issues and leads program development.  
• Provide timely, accurate and relevant project and portfolio reporting as agreed.  
• Track project benefits realization and lessons learned to feed ongoing improvements.  
• Influence and obtain buy-in from stakeholders at multiple levels of an organization.
• Handle multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing workloads to meet competing deadlines.
• Make appropriate decisions considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions. Ability to manage, mentor, coach, and motivate team members to problem solve and achieve their goals. Ability to build relationships with key strategic partners.  
• Work with senior leadership on developing and implementing strategic objectives.  

Skills

• Ability to turn abstract ideas into concrete objectives. Experience applying fact-based decision making, measuring business results, data based assessments, organization design and development approaches, change management techniques, and developing and using management dashboards to communicate results.  
• Excellent time management, organizational skills, and project management skills.  
• Skilled in change management and knowledgeable of survey / assessment design.
• Strong analytical and diagnostic skills with a data/metrics-driven approach.  
• Proactive with a powerful sense of urgency to drive results.  
• Operates well in an environment of rapid change and is comfortable operating with autonomy.  
• Strong interpersonal, time management and problem-solving skills.
• Skilled in risk analysis, project reporting, and tracking.  
• Strong consulting skills, with a true customer service orientation towards internal clients.  
• Language skills - English & Arabic
• Ability to travel to customer location in Saudi Arabia
