Engineering Manager, Jira Platform Issue Experience

You will be part of our growing Jira Cloud Platform team, continuing our mission of making work flow, for customers at any scale. Your team owns part of the Jira Issue Experience, which are the most-viewed pages in the Jira Cloud suite of products (Jira Software, Jira Service Management, Jira Work Management, plus more). Your team is the driver for Issue View decomposition project and owns issue performance, runtime alerting.You will build a team, empowering them to achieve their goals, and putting those goals into a broader context. Your greatest responsibility will look after the individuals reporting to you – mentoring and supporting them in their professional development, unlocking their potential, and challenging them to step outside their comfort zone to grow and excel.You will also use your skills to make sure we're solving the right problems. Working with the other teams in Jira Issue Experience group and User Interface Platform, you will influence the direction of the platform, set appropriate goals, plan the steps to get there, resolve impediments, and deliver value to our internal and external customers.Along with existing teams in Sydney and Bangalore, you will work to collaboratively improve the Jira Cloud Platform and Issue Experience missions.

On your first day, we'll expect you to have:

• 2+ years of demonstrated people leadership experience
• Experience building large-scale web applications in the Cloud
• Experience developing a team of developers
• Familiarity with agile software development methodologies
• Drive technical decisions, innovation, quality, and outcomes
• Strong organisation and interpersonal skills
• Experience with execution, risk management, and delivering results

It's great if you have experience in:

• Employee performance & growth management.
• An interest in performance observability, analysis and optimisation
• Continuous delivery (e.g. progressive deployments, feature toggles, experimentation)
