If you are driven to create a better, more sustainable future, then this is the right place for you.The Autonomous Driving (AD) team in Lucid is currently seeking a talented candidate to be responsible for Autonomous Driving system and architecture design, strategy, and development plans. This position requires an experienced professional with a track record of successfully bringing new automotive AD features into production. Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches his or her work with vigor and determination. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their respective fields, to possess the ability to learn quickly and to strive for perfection.

Role Responsibilities

    • Contribute to the AD SW development, roadmap, strategic planning, production rollout planning
    • Lead the development of Lv.4 AD system in area of software / sensor / power / communication architecture
    • Lead the design, prototyping, engineering, validation, and launching the cutting-edge Autonomous driving software stacks
    • Contribute to perception SW, sensor fusion, localization, motion planning and Control, software architecture, data engineering for Lv.4 AD systems
    • Drive SW specifications with creative ideas to bring each ADAS/AD feature to the next level providing the best in class premium experience
    • Lead a rapid prototype system in quickly manner to show a proof of the concept
    • Contribute to the timely delivery of fully validated, high-quality customer features
    • Collect and follow the trends in AD domain and suppliers’ technology
    • Work closely with SW partners and cross functional teams to ensure good communication to achieve a seamless and robust vehicle implementation

Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s in computer science, computer engineer, electrical engineer
    • 12+ related experience
    • Proven track records of bringing AD business planning, technical roadmap development SW development, and development process into production
    • In-depth experience in SW development & release process, AD technology development & deployment
    • Knowledge in complex system design and architecture
    • Experience with automotive supplier & partners interaction, specification development, project/release management, change management
    • Capability and creativity to successfully complete projects with unconventional ideas in highly constrained, innovative startup environments
    • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

Preferred Qualifications

    • MS plus 10 years industry experience in the areas of Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics,
    • 5 years or more in SW engineering experience, ideally from the automotive field
    • Experience in working in agile development teams (Jira, Confluence, etc)
    • Knowledge of applicable safety standards and regulations (ASPICE, ISO 26262), industry benchmark and customer requirements
    • Experience in automotive supplier interaction, specification development, release management, new business development.
Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors. ·       California (Bay Area) - $177,000 - $230,000 Additional Compensation and Benefits: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k.
