POSITION SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:The Supervisor of Project Management Office ensures that Marco Service Projects are planned, managed, and executed effectively, efficiently and to client expectations. The PMO Supervisor oversees all client-facing projects and develops and maintains project management methodologies, standards, and tools. The PMO Supervisor has over-all responsibility for project prioritization, project tracking and monitoring, and project delivery for Marco’s large implementations. This role is focused on ensuring that projects are executed with excellence to meet KPI’s of being on-time, on-budget and High CSAT. It is also focused on guiding and developing the team of project coordinators and managers.
Essential Functions
- Provide daily supervision for Project Coordinators and Project Managers:
- · Coach and train team members.
- · Be an escalation point of contact to handle issues and involve direct manager as needed.
- · Monitor team coverage, oversee personal time off approval, make sure backups are in place and redistribute work to cover when others are out.
- · Monitor staffing and equipment needs, conduct interviews and make hiring selections with input/approval from direct manager.
- · Conduct performance reviews, handle employee discipline matters and make compensation recommendations with approval from direct manager.
- Ensure project success is in alignment with Marco’s strategic goals
- Oversees the delegation of client-facing projects to the PMO team
- Collaborate with team members and cross functional groups throughout the organization to manage projects, ensuring they meet the needs of our stakeholders. Includes delegation and oversight of responsibilities to other team members
- Develops and provides weekly project status reporting and status to internal and external stakeholders
- Oversees that PMO staff deliver client-facing projects on time, within scope and on forecasted budget
- Works with PMO staff on mitigating any risks that impact the successful delivery of client-facing projects
- Interfaces with leadership to define project priorities and implementation opportunities and challenges and keep them up to date with project risks and opportunities
- Coordinate training needs within the Marco organization, with the Talent & Human Resources team
- Possess a working knowledge of the technology/processes being used/followed in order to conduct training and evolve the PMO framework and operating model
- Follow structure for process documentation and validate that all client documentation requirements have been met at the close of projects
- Monitors compliance with PMO and company policies and standards
- Act in accordance with Marco policies and procedures as set forth in the employee handbook.
Education & Experience
- · Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent work experience preferred
- · 4+ years of related experience in Project Management
- · Previous supervisory experience preferred
- · Demonstrated ability to collaborate with project team members and provide coaching and guidance to successfully execute projects in an organization.
- · Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to develop cooperative working relationships with supervisory personnel, stakeholders, and team co-workers.
- · Demonstrated ability to deliver a high-quality work product in an agile environment.
- · Deep familiarity and comfort with using a range of tools for collaboration, project management, documentation, and illustration.
- · Experience with strategic planning and development.
- · Understanding of various project management methodologies such as Waterfall and Agile.
- · Excellent writing skills required: experience capturing, documenting & illustrating complex functional and technical requirements.
- · Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification a plus.
