India.The team is part of a foundational initiative of unifying Pricing, Product Catalog, Subscriptions and Billing engines across all Atlassian Cloud products, to fuel Atlassian’s ability to scale to the next level. Our team is in charge of the Orders & Entitlement Management for the Commerce Cloud Platform (CCP) - a new platform that is being built as part of this foundational initiative
Where you’ll make an impactIn this role you will have autonomy to craft, build, and operate business critical services. You will be responsible for building scalable and reliable services that delight our customers and deliver business value to Atlassian. We follow the DevOps approach, so you'll be experiencing the full development and operational lifecycle of your work.You will foster new features and improvements that will make a difference to not only your team but key company metrics such as adoption rates for our cloud products, purchase conversion rates, support ticket reduction, reduced time to market.
On your first day, we'll expect you to have:
- 7+ years of experience designing and building a production-level large-scale web application.
- You are comfortable tackling complex architecture challenges, both an application and system level.
- You are comfortable conducting code reviews and giving feedback to ensure high standards of code maintainability and extensibility
- Setting an example for quality and efficiency through your work, with an eye always open on where you can lean in to support your teammates.
- Expertise in stakeholder management and leading the team through complex projects.
- Expertise with software development in languages like Java and have an understanding of how to write performant, decoupled, testable, and maintainable code.
- Take ownership of the software you write all the way to production, and experience operating software in production. This includes building monitoring into your code, tweaking dashboards, defining alerts, writing run-books.
- Enjoy mentoring developers (via design reviews & sparring, code reviews etc) and ability to optimally collaborate on ideas and designs with some of the best architects and developers in Atlassian
The following are not required, but definite bonuses:
- Experience with public cloud offerings (AWS, or equivalents in another cloud provider, e.g. GCP or Azure)
- eCommerce / Billing / Payments experience.
