Whatever your preference—working from home, an office, or in between— you can choose the place that's best for your work and your lifestyle.Your Future TeamThe App Migrations group is responsible for the end-to-end journey for customer migration of our Marketplace Apps from Server to Cloud. We look after the customer experience, the platform APIs and data transfer, and work directly with our Marketplace Partners to build features they need into the cloud platform and our SDKs.Our main stakeholders are our Migrations leadership team, who are closely connected to Atlassian leadership as our mission is part of Atlassian's number one objective of shifting customers to the cloud. We work closely with our teams in Ecosystem, who manage the third-party app developers that build apps for our Marketplace.You'll enjoy the challenges of the three-way migration process we orchestrate between Customers, 3rd Party Apps, and Atlassian. Contribute to the success of both our Customers as well as our Partners through features and improvements for both groups. You'll bring new ideas, challenge us in areas we can improve on, and seek to improve our processes and software as we grow.

What you'll do

• Work with accomplished engineers across multiple teams to deliver features and projects that support our cloud migration programme.
• Maintain our public-facing SDKs and platform APIs
• Provide technical and delivery leadership for work delivered within the team.
• Run and improve the operations of the services in our platform
• Work with our product team and also our 3rd party app vendors to define and build new capabilities required to help customers migrate to the cloud
• Mentor for more junior engineers in the team

Your background

• 7+ years experience across the board with a depth of knowledge in building and running reliable microservices.
• Proficiency in any modern object-oriented programming language (e.g., Java, Kotlin etc. )
• Keen interest in open source and learning new technologies
• Understanding of how to build performant, decoupled, testable, and maintainable code
• Experience building fault-tolerant cloud native services
• Passion for product and delivering value to customers
• Enjoy sharing knowledge with teammates and working collaboratively when you need help

If you have any of the following experience, even better

• Experience working in a B2B setting and engaging directly with partners or other development teams outside your organization
• Experience creating and implementing scalable and performant Node JS micro-services
• 2+ years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction
