At the Engineering Platform, Gojek; we are looking for passionate engineers responsible for building scalable PaaS offerings aimed at improving engineering experience for various product groups at Gojek. You will also be developing services, tools and platforms that provide distributed systems abstractions.
What You Will Do
- Create and manage highly scalable, reliable and fault tolerant infrastructure platform that forms the backbone of distributed systems at Gojek
- Improve others’ ability to deliver great quality work and is someone who team members look up to in terms of craft
- Continuously improve code quality, product execution and customer delight
- Communicate, collaborate and work effectively across distributed teams in a global environment
- Operate to strengthen teams across their product with their knowledge base
- Continuously refactor applications to ensure high-quality design
- Pair with team members on functional and nonfunctional requirements and spread design philosophy and goals across the team
What You Will Need
- 3-5 years of relevant experience, hands on in any object oriented or functional programming language i.e. Java, Golang, Clojure, Python, Ruby etc building applications from scratch
- Good understanding of distributed systems fundamentals and ability to troubleshoot issues in a large distributed infrastructure.
- Hands-on working and ability to dive deep into container orchestration, cloud native infrastructure technologies - Kubernetes, Docker etc
- Good domain modeling skills and ability to build RESTFul web services
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Helm etc
- Deep knowledge of Linux as a production environment
- Working knowledge of the TCP/IP stack, internet routing and load balancing
- Prior experience with AWS, GCP, Azure etc. is a plus
- Any exposure to service mesh and proxy technologies like envoy is a plus
