Senior Frontend Engineer, Jira Platform

As a part of the Jira platform, you will be contributing to the Jira ecosystem, and your work will be adopted by all Jira products and serve millions of customers across the globe. Our team's mission is to double down on the platformisation of components and experiences to accelerate building capabilities in Jira.You will be part of a growing team across India and Australia, delivering value to our customers through creative solutions in our platformisation space. You will work closely with design and product management, influencing the direction of the product and helping the team get there. You will collaborate with other developers, write code you are proud of, and deliver amazing results that our users love.

On your first day we will expect you to have:

• 7+ years of experience building and developing backend applications.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• Effectively mentor junior team members to help them unleash their full potential
• Specialization in Javascript (ES6), HTML5, CSSExperience with modern Javascript frameworks (e.g., React, AngularJS, Vue)
• Experience with modern testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Cypress, Mocha, Chai)
• Deep understanding of front-end architecture and data-driven development

It is great but not required if you have:

• Have a good knowledge of UX and design
• Have a deep understaing of ReactJs, GraphQl & Relay.
• Experience applying static typing in Javascript (for example TypeScript or Flow)
• Know-how with regard to front-end tooling such as Webpack, Babel, ESlint, etc.
• Experience with large scale single-page web applications
• Operational experience – instrumenting code and monitoring the errors, metrics, and analytics of large-scale web applications.
