Be a part of a team building systems that enable customers of all sizes adopt cloud hosted business solutions while leveraging Rackspace Technology's expertise. You will join a team working to continuously deliver value to our customers at scale, so we are looking for developers who ship early and often while maintaining healthy engineering discipline. In this role you will be expected to 1.       Be part of client’s project design efforts2.       Understand third-party systems for integration opportunities and 3.       Deliver well architected solutions at scale. 4.       You will write automated tests for everything you build. As an senior developer you will – ·       Influence the technical direction for client’s systems and solutions. ·       Collaborate with other developers and product managers to identify the right technical solutions that achieve Customer’s goals Continuously broaden and deepen your skill set to solve new technical challenges·       Provide Fanatical Support for our production system by fixing bugs and triaging alerts·       Write clean, maintainable code using engineering best practices·        Your backgroundWith a collaborative team-player approach and excellent communication skills, you will enjoy addressing and anticipating the needs of application users and customer stakeholders alike. As such, we expect you to be a hands on full stack developer at heart who has grown in an application development organisation. With the confidence to architect cloud native applications on AWS and other public clouds. You will be conversant with multiple programming languages, DevOps tooling, databases, event driven architectures, design patterns, anti-patterns, frameworks and best practices. Technical skillsYou will have 5+ years practical experience as a software developer with an understanding of agile/scrum, CI/CD, and modern web application development. In addition, you will have the following technical skills: Must have skills: ·       Strong hands-on experience required in C# and .Net.·       Good exposure required in developing solutions on C#, .Net core, Web API, Entity Framework·       Proficient in modern C# development, debugging and resolving performance issues.·       Neuron ESB Developer with Integration Experience·       Neuron ESB Deployment Experience·       Designed software for integration with third party systems and APls using both Web Services (REST, SOAP)·       Good experience with Git and Unit Testing frameworkGood to have skills:               ·       Exposure to AWS cloud technology is an added advantage.·       Should be capable enough to understand the agile practices.·       Experience being part of a team that practices CI/CD automation·       Delivery of SaaS applications (including handling deployment, monitoring, logging).·       Should be capable to maintain existing customers product or create and new products Soft skills·       Good communication skills - both verbal and written. ·       Creative problem solver, will own issues until full resolution·       Effective with time management and expectation management (for deliverables)·       Good team player who is keen to share knowledge as well as to listen and learn from others·       Willingness to learn and a quick learner.       ·       Demonstrated passion for independent learning and knowledge sharingEducational Requirements·       Degree in computer science (preferred) or other technology/engineering subject More on Rackspace Technology Though we’re all different, Rackers thrive through our connection to a central goal: to be a valued member of a winning team on an inspiring mission.
