In the next three years, we want to accelerate that adoption further to make our cloud-ready for every customer a reality.About Enterprise Data PortabilityEnterprise customers consider the capability to move large amounts of data within and outside their cloud site as an important functionality for getting ready to use Atlassian's cloud offerings. Data portability today consists of different mechanisms and customer-facing features that allow the customers to manage their data in the form of cloud-to-cloud offerings, backup & restore and other import/export capabilities. It is a crucial part of our enterprise cloud readiness story and continues to be one of the top asks for cloud adoption.With this program, we are trying to unify the platform and experience for the customers to guide them through the journey regarding what tools to use and when. It also encompasses providing a centralised data portability platform built on streaming architecture that can provide a skeleton to different feature teams in respective cloud products to easily integrate with the capabilities.About Product Integrations (Team Xenon)The Product Integrations team (Team Xenon) is a newly formed team in the Data Portability charter. The easiest way of understanding this team would be to think of it as a patty in the burger, this team abstracts out all the complexities of the underlying data movement platforms and enables the feature teams like Backup Restore, Sandbox, Cloud to Cloud migrations to focus on providing the best customer experiences, operating at feature level (remember, we said abstracting out underlying complexities) with a super fast time to market.Role- As a Principal Engineer, you are expected to play a deep engineer role in the Product Integrations team. You’ll work closely with other architects, senior architects across various teams including feature teams, underlying platform teams and product teams like jira, confluence etc understanding various architectures on the fly and able to debate and brainstorm with them on the right engineering way to build things and ship value for the customers fast. - Your greatest responsibility is to be a tech SME for the team and own establishing engineering best practises around engineering excellence + operational excellence, engineering innovation, architecture reviews etc thus uplifting the entire team’s engineering quotient with your guidance and expertise. The buck stops at you, for everything engineering!!- You will have a lot of autonomy and accountability and a team of brilliant engineers to support you in this journey. You will be needed to navigate with ease between shipping code and to look at things holistically from an overall engineering perspective. - This is a unique opportunity to create an everlasting impact in the org backed by your technical chops. On their first day, we'll expect:

• You have deep expertise around various architecture and technologies and are able to tailor your words as per the audience engaging in easy conversation on OKR/KPI’s with business/product/design/engineering.
• You have proven track record of engineering innovation, unblocking teams when faced with any technical challenge or uplifting the team’s velocity with your creative ideas.
• You understand how to balance the best of engineering practises with shipping fast, knowing where to put your foot down and where to cut some slack.
• You are a team player and are able to embed yourself in the team such that a New College Graduate(NCG) and a seasoned architect are both able to work with you.
• You are comfortable with Java, Kotlin, Saas, Paas, AWS services like (DynamoDB, SQS, Kinesis) and a solid understanding of micro-services oriented architecture and extensible REST APIs
• You thrive in ambiguity, working with almost zero guidance, taking extreme ownership and creating win-win situations with your deep technical expertise.
• You are impeccable when it comes to tech specs/ RFC’s, PIR’s, dev documentation etc.
