MySQL Database Administrator III – IN

Key Responsibility Areas:Create and manage multiple databases and assist in capacity planning. Monitor and maintain database systems and troubleshoot problems that may arise. Maintain data integrity and security (manage roles and permissions of database users). Use tools like MySQL Workbench, generate traces, execution plans, identify performance issues and resolve them. Develop strategies and implement solutions for managing back-ups, restoration and replication. Create architecture maximizing uptime and allowing for upgrades and patching with minor downtime. Create and manage constraints and indexes. Support software developers with database operations including the development of complex SQL and the creation of stored procedures. Manage production, staging and development database environments.  Coordinate and communicate with all stakeholders including the Corporate Data team and teams within Cloud Office.  Other ResponsibilitiesCreate detailed documentation including diagrams of database infrastructure and run books. Learn relevant business processes and understand data flow, criticality and dependencies. Effectively coordinate and communicate with all stakeholders (internal teams and clients). Set up and maintain database infrastructure for the company’s transactional and analytical needs.  Technical Expertise Strong expertise in MySQL clustering, replication, multi-master and MySQL Galara. Extensive experience with RDBMS concepts, database architecture and SQL. Some experience with other databases especially MS SQL, No SQL databases and In-memory databases.
