Mobile Threat Analyst

The Cybereason Global SOC provides global 24/7 active monitoring and proactive threat hunting services that provide fast identification, response, and analysis of alerts so every customer’s network is guaranteed to be safe and secure from today’s and tomorrow’s threats. As a Mobile Threat Analyst, you will be triaging and responding to mobile threats and attacks in our customer environments, safeguarding their devices, as well as communicating with customers.

What you will do: -

  • Triage security events and alerts from mobile devices and mobile security platforms within SLOs/SLAs.
  • Evaluate and recommend to customers mitigation strategies for mobile-based attacks.
  • Coordinate with other analysts in addressing larger scoped attacks. -
  • Train and mentor junior analysts in triaging and responding to mobile threats.
  • Communicate the results of attacks to customers.
  • Utilize internal and third-party systems in the triaging and response to mobile attacks.
  • Coordinate with Managed Services Solutions Engineering on improved automations and workflows.

What we are looking for: 

  • 4+ years of mobile security experience, preferably handling and responding to security events/alerts from mobile security products.
  • Knowledge of mobile app development frameworks (iOS, Android) and security controls.
  • Experience with mobile app penetration testing tools and methodologies is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with mobile app encryption, authentication, and authorization mechanisms.
  • Strong understanding of OWASP Mobile Top Ten or other mobile security standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills, able to work as an individual and as part of a team on a variety of concurrent projects.
  • Minimum of business level in both English and Japanese required.
