Infrastructure Change Manager

Job Summary:  Provide oversight to and support for the global technical change management process for Rackspace Infrastructure.Work Location: Remote

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide oversight to and support for the global technical change management process for Rackspace Infrastructure.
• Manage the development and implementation of change and problem management methodologies.
• Plan for infrastructure maintenance including communications, business processes, policies, and procedures on a global basis.
• Participate in the Change Management Board meetings and associated activities.
• Lead the development and communication of infrastructure wide changes and liaises with business leaders and global DC Infrastructure team.
• Establish a standard process for identifying, documenting, addressing, reporting and communicating root causes that are discovered as a result of incidents or outages.
• Provide training on performing root cause analysis and change management across the organization.
• Collaborate with leaders to establish a standard method of procedure to run maintenance activities globally.
• Oversee coordination of critical events affecting Rackers and Customers in a 24x7x365 environment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution preferably in business or a related field required.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible project, change, problem and/or incident management experience.
• Experience with commercial risk assessment and large-scale change management administration.
• Knowledge of the theory and application of change and problem management methodologies and competencies.
• Proficient in risk management processes and methodologies.
• Ability to make appropriate decisions considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions. Ability to apply varying leadership skills and traits that create solutions and results to unexpected situations.
