Director, Security Operations

By removing the pain from delivery and returns, Veho is creating powerful opportunities for brands to engage and build deep loyalty with their customers like never before.As the Director of Security Operations, this leader will continue to build our personal and physical security efforts across the organization, leading and owning this function. This person will identify and analyze potential opportunities to reduce risk, build policies and processes that bolster security throughout our operations, and partner with cross-functional teams to implement solutions. This person will track performance and maintain an accountability system that ensures the well-being of teammates and the broader Veho community. It will be critical for this leader to analyze potential trends and areas of opportunity, develop a framework that promotes security and asset preservation and incentivize consistent adherence to and development of policies, execution of processes, and reporting of potential issues.When needed, this team will coordinate security-related incident response efforts and investigations.This person will report directly to the Vice President of Business Operations. This person will work directly with our ground operations, transportation and logistics, live operations, driver and marketplace, delivery experience, shared services, systems security, and legal teams to continuously improve our operations and ensure that we continue building a safe and secure environment for our teammates and the broader Veho community.

Responsibilities include:

• Ensuring Veho maintains and continuously strengthens its culture of safety and security
• Elevating operating teams’ performance and skills to meet the needs of our operations, while always ensuring the well-being, engagement, and development of our teammates
• Building policies and processes that ensure the safety and security of our teammates and the broader Veho community, physical security and protection of sites and assets, and comply with all applicable regulations
• Identifying and analyzing potential risks and hazards associated with our security operations, and leading continuous improvement efforts to reduce risk
• Partnering with Program Management to develop security processes for our operating teams
• Partnering with Learning & Development to provide our teams with the training required to implement
• Partnering with Procurement to ensure tools required to adhere to policies and execute processes are provided
• Ensuring policy is understood and acknowledged across all levels of the organization
• Partnering with operating teams to ensure consistent policy adherence and process execution
• Maintaining open communication channels to address questions, concerns, and feedback 
• Measuring performance and adherence to policies and processConducting audits to identify non-compliance and implement solutions to reduce risk
• Partnering with local leadership to strengthen our security efforts at the local level
• Coordinating security-related incident response and investigation, as needed
• Partnering with cross-functional senior leadership to define and clearly communicate responsibilities and accountability frameworks that support our culture of safety and security

What you bring:

• Demonstrated passion for ensuring the well-being of teammates and protection of physical sites and assets, in and outside of reporting relationships
• 14+ years of progressive personal and physical security, asset protection, and preservation leadership
• Demonstrated track record of continuous improvement and exceptional project management
• First principles approach to building and implementing policies and processes by working directly with teammates and identifying potential gaps
• Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization and build trust
• Strong commitment to cross-functional partnership as the means to successfully build improvements
• Analytical rigor and ability to communicate complex issues in clear, succinct, and digestible ways
• Proficient in Google Suite and/or Microsoft Office suite
• Willingness to work flexible hours to support our security operationsWillingness to travel to site locations
