What you'll do

The Security Compliance Team Member will be responsible for ensuring our organization’s compliance with various information security standards, including ISO 27001, GDPR, and others. This role involves assessing current security practices, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing strategies to meet and maintain compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Compliance Management: Implement and maintain policies and procedures to ensure compliance with ISO 27001, GDPR, and other relevant standards.
  • Risk Assessment: Conduct regular security risk assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and non-compliance issues.
  • Policy Development: Develop and update security policies, procedures, and controls in line with compliance requirements.
  • Training and Awareness: Conduct training sessions and awareness programs for employees on compliance standards and best practices in information security.
  • Incident Management: Respond to security incidents and breaches, ensuring proper reporting and remediation in line with compliance standards.
  • Continuous Improvement: Monitor changes in compliance regulations and industry standards, updating practices and procedures accordingly.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including management, IT team, Security team, and auditors, to ensure effective compliance practices.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • Experience: At least 2-3 years of experience in information security, with a focus on compliance and risk management.
  • Certifications: Professional certifications like CISSP, CISM, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor, or similar are highly desirable.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of ISO 27001, GDPR, and other information security standards.
  • Skills: Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Attributes: Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Ability to stay updated with the latest trends and developments in information security and compliance.
  • Experience in conducting security audits and preparing detailed reports.
  • Familiarity with IT infrastructure and cybersecurity technologies.
