Team Description
Compliance organization develops minimum policies and standards, provides appropriate guidance, and helps to implement and monitor controls to identify and mitigate compliance risks across the entire Coupang organization. The team partners with business lines and shared services functions to design products, services and controls which reduce compliance vulnerabilities, and govern the process for measuring, monitoring, and reporting compliance risks. The team is growing and works on novel compliance issues across an expanding group of Coupang products and services.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of Product Compliance & Safety Audit Program related controls to efficiently manage Non-Food Product compliance risks across the group and ensure effective implementation of Product Compliance Policies and Procedures
- Develop and leverage internal and external partnerships and networks to develop a strong understanding of the business, relevant business teams, data sources for audit, and key touch points/ control owners relevant for Product Compliance risks
- Conduct Non-Food Product Compliance audit/review to assess the effectiveness of the Product Compliance controls/policies and procedures
- Work with stakeholders to improve processes and plug control gaps identified during Audit activities
- Reporting and Monitoring: Prepare Audit result report & Monthly/quarterly reports and presentations for finding identified as part of the Audit activities and Remediation activity status
Essential Qualifications:
- Minimum 15+ years of experience in Statutory/Internal Audits, Internal/external investigations, especially +5 years at Pharmaceutical, Medical Device or Consumer Healthcare Industry with working experience for Medical Device, Cosmetic, Quasi-drug compliance, QA/QC and/or Quality audit role.
- Experience with building systems and controls for compliance policies & procedures
- Enterprise mindset; excellent communication skills; effective stakeholder influence and engagement skills;
- Demonstrating the ability to manage and influence key stakeholders;
- Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Access or similar computer software;
- Bachelor’s degree required from any Technical discipline but with experience of Product compliance/quality audit
- Knowledge of highly regulatory product categories supply chain and enforcement processes in high volume retail industries and related legal requirements; e.g. Medical Device, Drug, Quasi-drug, Health Functional Food, High Pressure Gas Product, etc
- Problem solver, Self-driven, Interpersonal skill, Team player
Preferred Qualifications:
- + 5 of direct experience in compliance program management within fast-paced, technology driven retail businesses a strong plus
- Overall process ownership; deals well with ambiguity, functions well and able to clearly define processes in loosely structured situations
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to work independently and autonomously
- Good problem solving skill: acts decisively, promptly and confidently. Not afraid to contradict others and proactively offering solutions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in Korean and English to deliver presentation and training

Document Return Policy
- This notification is given pursuant to Article 11 (6) of the Fair Hiring Procedure Act.
