Azure DevOps Engineer II

Rackspace is seeking an Azure DevOps Engineer to join our team .CUSTOMER FOCUS: Our DevOps Engineers get to build one-of-a-kind, cutting edge cloud solutions for some of our top enterprise customers. Our primary focus is to distill confidence in our customers by creating customized solutions and a top-notch customer onboarding experience.AUTOMATION: Customer deployments should be solidly reliable and repeatable. Knowledge of tools like VSTS, Azure automation, Terraform, Ansible, Chef, and Puppet is critical to achieving this goal. If you enjoy writing programmatic solutions to reduce customer turnaround time and your own workload, this team is what you’re looking for.RESPONSIBILITIES:Work with a talented and highly engaged team of Engineers, Relationship Managers and Product TeamAutomate PAAS and IAAS deployments for customer environments on Microsoft Azure platformArchitect Azure environment best practices and deployment methodologiesCreate automation tools and processes to improve Team and Racker day-to-day functionsEducate customers on Azure and Rackspace best practices and architectureAssist in educational briefings for teammates to advance in technical trainings for continued growthAct as an escalation point for our Azure Support Engineers when requiredProvide a continuous Fanatical Support experience for our customers QUALIFICATIONS:Strong written and verbal communications skills. Written and verbal Spanish, English skills are a must, ability to communicate in Portuguese strongly desired3+ years experience as a DevOps engineerWorking knowledge of Azure Resources and Services, Scaling, Load Balancing, CDNs, Networking etc.Experience automating and orchestrating workloads on AzureExperience with Microsoft Active DirectoryExperience with GIT, VSTS and TerraformProficient leveraging CI/CD tools to automate testing and deploymentExperience in the Azure services & APIsWorking knowledge of Backup and Recovery methodology and implementationsKnowledge of supported network appliances and related solutions in Azure is preferred.
