AI Senior Manager - MX

Job Summary: The Senior Manager Artificial Intelligence is responsible for the overall direction of all technical services functions associated with Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) applications.  This position will report into the Information Technology Solutions (ITS) group. This position provides the strategic direction on compliance for the design, development, and implementation of AI and ML models into operational workflows, including helping draft and review the procedures that support a compliance system. Additional responsibilities may include guiding AI teams with project planning, system architecture, risk management, verification & validation, and continuous monitoring. Additionally, the Senior Manager consults with multiple stakeholders to help guide the enterprise’s best practices, including data quality, good machine learning practices, and monitoring the effectiveness of AI and ML models throughout their life cycle. A multidisciplinary approach that unifies key stakeholders and subject matter experts is a driver of the Manager AI role and responsibilities. Work Location: Remote

Key Responsibilities:

• Building and executing an AI/ML roadmap for Rackspace across all of its businesses and functions.
• Identifying opportunities to apply the latest advancements in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence to build, test, and validate predictive models leading a team of data scientists.
• Providing first class machine learning and strategic input to projects and ongoing operations; leading thinking and strategic planning for design, implementation, and direction of AI/ML initiatives and able to get business leaders excited based on the ability to drive business impact using AI/ML strategies.
• Driving internal awareness and strategy for adoption of emerging machine learning methodologies through the execution of an effective communication plan.
• Effectively partnering with Data Engineering team to help drive the execution of a successful data strategy on how best to drive the evolution of Rackspace data lake.
• Creating algorithms to extract information from large, multiparametric global data sets.
• Deploying algorithms to production to identify actionable insights from large data sets.
• Developing and embedding automated processes for predictive model validation, deployment, and implementation.
• Working closely with Rackspace internal businesses leaders to ensure that the insights created from the AI/ML models are effectively translated into action that creates business impact.
• Building and maintaining an effective and impactful external network to drive the continued evolution in Rackspace’s AI/ML competencies through learning and partnering.

Qualifications:

• Cloud certifications such as GCP/AWS/Azure Professional Data Engineer or Microsoft Data / AI certifications
• 7+years of experience in the field of role required
• Knowledge include Python, Scipy, Pandas, Jupyter and other machine learning tools and libraries.
• Knowledge with neural networks, computer vision, language processing, big data processing, or other machine learning sub-domains is desired.
• Familiarity with data engineering languages and platforms, such as SQL, Spark or Hadoop, is desired.
• Familiarity with managed machine learning services on a major cloud platform is also desired
