Our employees challenge the status quo, ask questions, and find creative solutions for our clients.The Managing Principal leads, inspires, manages, and coaches a team within the Intelligence Services department. The Managing Principal drives operations, services, products, capabilities, and oversees processes and procedures for information collection, analysis, and dissemination to ensure the team provides threat intelligence information that is timely and actionable. The position will report directly to the Vice President of Intelligence Services.
What You'll Do - Operations
- Manage all key aspects of service delivery in coordination with your fellow principals and senior leadership.
- Ensure all deliverables meet or exceed Nisos’ high quality standards prior to delivery.
- Partner with Intelligence Services, Sales, Product and Engineering stakeholders to develop and launch new Nisos capabilities.
- Participate as a subject matter expert on prospect and client calls.
- Assist in developing instructional materials for investigative workflows, tools, persona management, and proprietary data
.
- Develop professional analytic standards for deliverables and briefings.
- Deliver and report on KPIs.
What You'll Do - Resource Management
- Estimate resources and resource allocation for your team to ensure deliverables are met and adequate coverage is provided to clients.
- Understand the talent capabilities of your direct reports to meet project needs.
- Proactively manage resource capacity on your team by judiciously overseeing team leave to ensure coverage.
- Maintain accountability on your team for accurate and timely time recording.
- Continuously evaluate resources and acquire resources as needed.
- Develop and manage the team to ensure the right skill sets are available to meet the needs of the clients and business.
What You'll Do - People Leadership
- Oversee the personnel management of all employees and contractors reporting to your assigned team.
- Participate in the performance management process by setting clear goals and expectations, tracking progress against the goals, providing feedback, and addressing performance challenges and issues promptly.
- Proactively ensure your direct reports have the opportunity to maintain and develop their skill sets through formal and information training and development.
- Participate in the employee lifecycle of key performance indicator generation, professional development objectives, training plans, etc.
- Assist in the talent acquisition process for full-time and 1099 applicants.
- Onboard and train new team members.
- Implement or support various change management activities (e.g., communications, education, team development, coaching).
- Hold yourself and your team members accountable for high-performance and professional conduct.
- Foster an environment of accountability, ownership, collaboration and high-performance by setting the example for others to follow.
Who You Are & What You Bring
- Relevant work experience with a deep knowledge of analytic tradecraft and the threat landscape.
- Demonstrated successful experience supervising and managing teams of at least five employees.
- Experience at a cybersecurity or threat intelligence company, preferably in the area of managed services.
- The ability to solve problems by working to reduce ambiguity and complexity; promote clarity, simplicity and execution.
- The ability to foster an inclusive and collaborative environment and eliminate silos.
- The ability to develop and communicate goals in support of the business’ mission.
- An accountable person who also holds others accountable to meet commitments; own it.
- Experience taking the lead in setting new business directions, partnerships, policies or procedures.
- Can influence the future direction of an organizational unit or the overall business.
- Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written.
- A hands-on team player with strong organizational skills and the ability to achieve goals.
Where You'll Work
- Our Intelligence Services team is distributed nationwide and full remote work opportunities are available. You must be authorized to work in the United States or the United Kingdom.
- Travel is required, 10% or less.
