As the design leader of our IT Operations-focused programs, you will help shape the future of Atlassian’s fastest growing product, Jira Service Management. You'll lead a design team to improve existing functionality and build new features. This work will directly impact tens of thousands of customers and hundreds of thousands of users.You are passionate about making people better; you provide support and mentorship to your team in constructive ways that encourage, energise, and increase their quality of work. As a design leader for IT Operations, you will:

• Be a strategic partner of the IT Operations leadership team, working with the Heads of Engineering and Product to define the product roadmap.
• Lead the IT Operations design team across India and Turkey, working with the design leaders across IT Solutions and Atlassian. Responsibilities here include:
• Understand product metrics and translate goals to the design teams
• Lead the design vision that enhances our goals across the company
• Maintain a high-quality bar for shipped design work with your team
• Look for opportunities to improve the design of our products
• Create and share our product design strategy through storytelling with great presentations skills
• Keep a pulse on the always changing strategy and trends in product design; you will help your team anticipate and adjust to new challenges and ensure constant innovation within your product
• Lead a high-performing team of designers with experience developing others

Your background:

• Have 15+ years of professional UX design experience
• Can manage teams of 20+ designers and design managers, and scaling geographically dispersed teams
• Experience working remotely, and has built great relationships with other (remote) teams and leaders
• Demonstrate a record of shipping simple, beautiful software. Must have experience leading multiple streams of work with multiple teams
• Have experience building complex enterprise-level software
• Help grow those around you and challenge them to perform at their best
• Can paint a compelling vision to inspire your teams and partners
• Domain expertise in ITSM, IT Operations, Dev / DevOps is a plus
